Since 1980 - artisan/home made ice cream... in Polignano a Mare

My adventure begins in the 80s, in the central Via Dogali of Polignano a Mare, during a period of change for health and hygiene safety. I decided to invest in my working space replacing the old pans with newer and safer pasteurizers...and it was immediately a success!

In a town like Polignano, a destination for thousands of tourists, where the art of ice cream has deep roots, I couldn't just create traditional flavours, I had to invent something new.

So, I decided to risk it! I turned all that food around me into ice cream, from Nutella to yogurt, from Rocher to chili chocolate, including all the fruits of our land. In addition to ice cream, I wanted to produce authentic granita (with water, fruit and sugar) with varieties ranging from mulberries to almonds, without forgetting the traditional coffee or lemon, and with no artificial flavours. In 2003 another challenge! With the help of the whole family, I opened a second ice cream shop to satisfy the large number of customers acquired over the years.

After one year, I left the old shop and transferred the name, the sign and all my passion and good will into the new shop where I am now. In 2006 I invented the "CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM FESTIVAL" where for the whole month of March visitors could taste more than 25 different flavours of ice creams. It was a triumph! The secret? Today, as then, a healthy and genuine ice cream prepared with passion and using only quality ingredients.
